The Padmashali community has a long-standing history of being renowned for wisdom and intellect. Before 1921, there were many poets, artists, and scholars from this community whose contributions were well known, though detailed records were not readily available. In 1939, Sri Pendem Venkataramulu, a notable figure associated with the weaving community, published a book titled Padmashali Mahapurushula Jeevitacharitra (The Biographies of Great Padmashali Figures). In this book, he included the life stories of 25 prominent Padmashalis. However, copies of this book are no longer available today, as it is said to be lost or in a dilapidated condition. In 2001, BC Times, a monthly magazine, gathered and published the names of these notable figures.
